I have spent the day renewing. I posted two posts on my blog--Changing Your Narrative. While at the book store yesterday, the book The happiness project inspired me to sit down and to evaluate what happiness is and to assess my own happiness. And I am happy to say I am very happy! God had blessed me in so many ways!
To be happy does not mean that life will not have it's challenges. I have to say that recently I have felt a bit in a rut or at least like I've been on a Merry go Round. With my new position I work Monday through Friday and the hours are also very consistent working 8:30- 5:30 pm. As a nurse I have never had routine days and hours. I find time speeding by so quickly. It seems that every other day is Monday. I love the hours knowing that I don't have to work weekends or holidays. But the time going by so quickly is a bit scary and difficult to get use to. So I'm trying to learn to savor the moments of every day!
So this weekend I have renewed that I am very happy despite being a lit bit in a rut and on a merry go round. I have become more of aware to ways I can not feel like I am in a rut. One way is to CHANGE IT UP. This is one of my new Ten Commandments for the Happiness Project.
So for my first Change it Up. I am going to take a bubble bath in the middle of the day!
