One thing about life, is you never know what direction the road will take you. Fortunately mine is taking me to exciting and new places! I have completed my career as a Hospice nurse. I am thankful for the ten years I was comissioned by God to do his work. Hospice enlighted me and my patients taught me as much as I taught them. I am excited about my new career oppurtunity. I will continue to be a case manager and continue to help patients. However I will be doing this from a office. I am trading in my stethoscope for a computer! I will begin my new position on June 20th with AWAC Md. in Augusta Georgia. So hey all my Augusta friends, let's do lunch.
I am also trying to do some things on my bucket list. As one thing I sure learned from my accident, is you never know how quickly things can change. I was fortunate that when I hit that tree, the lights went out but they came back on! One things I have always wanted to do is paint. Last week my husband, my daughter and her husband and I attended a paint class at Bottles and Brushes in Summerville. In two hours you paint a picture all while drinking wine or beer or just a cola if that is your preference. It was a blast. Now I just have to go on a hot air baloon ride and a cruise.
I will be turning 60 on Monday. Yikes how fast time is going! But looking back on my 60 years, I realize more and more every day how blessed I have been. I have a wonderful husband, kids, Grandkids, and friends. There is nothing more I could want. So even if I don't complete that bucket list, I will have no regrets about life.
As I continue to travel down life's roads, I plan to travel at a nice leasurely pace and enjoy all that life has to give.
